Introduction

Hey, my name is Ezra Cohen and I want to welcome you to Sunday Screens Academy. I am so excited to dive into this series of videos that will empower and equip you and your team to steward the visual aspects of worship every week. But before we get started, I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about the why behind these videos. Now, over the past 10 years, I've been creating visuals in my own local church and also had the privilege to serve alongside worship leaders like Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, Chris Tomlin and many more.

And here's what I've learned. Whether you're in a room of 50 or 50,000, the visuals you choose to place on your screens have a huge impact on the atmosphere you create in your services. You know, every Sunday your screens welcome people in. They create an atmosphere for worship.

They share announcements. They display scripture. And they guide your message. And when you understand the significance of the role your screens play, everything changes.

Now, if you're seeing this, then you already have access to our full library of visuals that have been carefully crafted by some of the most creative minds in the church. Every visual has been prayed over and delivered to you from welcome to worship to close. But in these videos, I want to help equip you with the knowledge that will allow you to go confidently into every Sunday. We're going to discuss what the Bible says about visuals in worship, how to use your screens for direction and never distraction, how to run lyrics that unify your church in worship, how to build a cohesive setlist for worship, how to use service slides to support every moment of your service from announcements to closing, and pro tips for running visuals in ProPresenter and Resolume with excellence. We're also going to be providing a volunteer checklist so that you can empower your team to do the same.
