Sunday Screens 101

In this video, I'm going to show you how you can use service slides to easily design your entire service from welcome to close. Service slides take the guesswork out of cohesive professional design for every moment of your service. So, we're going to go over everything from what's included to editing in Photoshop all the way into importing your slides into ProPresenter. Let's jump right in and I'm going to show you how you can look incredible and save time every week.

All right, so we've got some of our server slides collections downloaded here. And I just want to show you how these folders are organized so you can kind of get the most out of these packs really quickly. But the collection that we're going to explore today is this collection called circling. And you can see that first we have our Photoshop file.

And this is a fully editable Photoshop file that obviously has, you know, full control over fonts and colors and all that kind of stuff. Next you've got your previews. And this is just designed to help you kind of get a quick, you know, grasp over what's included uh to make sure that this is the design that you want to pick. And then obviously as you're looking through, just know that all of those are fully customizable.

Next, we have blanks. And these blanks are great for if you want to just bring straight into Canva or ProPresenter and edit there directly. You have the same backgrounds, textures, all of that, no matter what software you use to edit your images. And then finally, we have fonts.

And in this case, we've got three fonts here. And you'll see that if you doubleclick on one of these files. It's actually going to bring up a web page that allows you to download those free to license files or it's going to lead you to the Adobe Creative Cloud where you can just add those fonts straight to your library and it'll be updated in Photoshop for you. So, let's jump into this Photoshop file and I'm going to show you how you can really customize this to make it your own.

So, first of all, we've got everything nicely organized in this grid. All of the collections will be organized in this same manner with sermon title up at the top left, lower thirds at the bottom, etc. Kind of helping you uh stay organized. Over on the right, we have all of our files here or different layers.

So, we can turn stuff on and off really easily. Whatever you click, you're going to be able to navigate to automatically and, you know, disable or enable. And then we've got some fun features that, you know, if we click on the artboard itself, um, if you're not familiar with artboards, these are, you know, these boards here, all of these slides have their own artboard. And if you click up here on the artboard name, so in this case, main look.

We can actually go ahead and change the background of this immediately. So let's say we weren't a fan of this red. We could change this to black. We could do this for all of them very easily.

Get our own, you know, brand fonts in there. make sure everything is really cohesive with our, you know, world of things. Um, you know, you can fully customize this as much as you want. For now, let's just stick with this red cuz it's kind of fun.

Uh, you know, we're coming up on Christmas right now as I'm recording this. And I feel like this is a great collection that could work any time in the year and at Christmas. So, kind of a cool example of how something would work both in the holidays and just a regular weekend. And you know, let's just kind of like pretend this is our weekend service here and kind of customize this whole collection.

So, I'm going to start by double clicking here and we're just going to pretend that this weekend's, you know, sermon is called radical faith. So, we can do this. We can type that everything, you know, is organized and aligned. We can take our church name.

Maybe it's like J16 church, J316 church. um title. Let's say we're in like a series called, you know, faith um father's uh or let's just call it faith. Yeah.

Yeah. Something shorter. Obviously, if we wanted something more, we could just lengthen that date. Let's say it's today.

I'm recording this on 119 uh or 911 for all you uh you know, Europeans out there. And then 2025. It's kind of fun. Maybe we could add a subtitle.

Maybe we don't want that. We just turn it off. But you know all these text details are really here to just add more sort of design interest and kind of create a really interesting image. Coming over to this slide we have you know an area where we could add a scripture.

So let's just say you know scriptures about faith go here by faith Abraham etc. We could add our reference down here. You know, maybe we're talking out of Romans or, you know, something like that. So, we could really just, you know, add all those details.

And then we could extend this sermon title, you know. So, we go to faith and maybe drag this over. Maybe we go radical here. So, again, just kind of extending some of those text details out.

And we're just kind of blasting through this. Keep in mind with artboards, one of the great things here is when we have these sort of like text details added, we want to add more slides for these scriptures. What we can do is click on the artboard. You're going to see that this little plus sign comes up.

And what we can do is if you hold option or alt and then click on this plus sign, it's going to duplicate that artboard and create a copy right above so that you can actually edit the same exact, you know, slide with all of the details that you've added in just with a new scripture, a new reference. So that's a really easy way to just start kind of stacking and adding the different multiple slides that you would need. Moving into this, obviously we could change out all these details from, you know, the church name to lead pastor, ways to give. We might want to change out this QR code, of course, is something that actually scans.

But we've set this in place here so you can just know exactly where to put it, you know, according to a professional designer. Uh, which shout out to Chase Glisten, by the way, for this collection. Uh, really beautiful work on this. And then we've got, you know, get connected where you could add another QR code, maybe some events.

um you know just put in all the event titles here and then we've got lower third so you can kind of like you know work from the same scriptures and kind of put them in here and the cool thing is is again like Chase was really thoughtful with the way that he laid out these these uh these designs. So all of the scriptures and the things that may kind of get duplicated the most are on top and bottom, which means that you can easily do the same thing that we were talking about earlier where you can duplicate this, you know, lower third, put it down here, type in some more, you know, details and kind of just get everything plugged in super super quick. And so this is just, you know, as you can tell, a really really valuable quick start. This is like a cheat code to just getting all of your weekend graphics done in just a couple minutes.

And the beautiful thing is all of the colors, all the fonts, all of the layouts are completely done for you, allowing you to just go confidently knowing that a pro designer has had their eye on this and all you need to do is plug in your information. So, let's just imagine that we've got all of our designs fully ready. We've got our stuff, you know, plugged in here. And I'm going to show you how you can quickly export all of these so you can bring them into ProPresenter.

So, first of all, you're just going to kind of click off into this gray area here because that will kind of disable or, you know, uh, deselect any specific artboard that you may want to export. Um, and then what you're going to do is just go up to file, export, artboard to files, and then I recommend using PNG in this case because, you know, some of these lower thirds have transparency baked in already. Um, and so we want to be able to preserve that transparency. You want to click transparency so that that is, you know, there uh as needed.

You want to include background in export um for those, you know, these ones up here that have the red background or whatever color you choose. And then we're just going to choose where this is going to go. And we can just say, you know, 11:09 service slides. And we're going to hit run.

And as you can see when I do that, it starts exporting every single one of those individual graphics that we have customized. And you know, it really just kind of does the full batch export all in one go. So you're not going up to save and then save as and doing individual ones. You know, if you have any that you do want to replace down the road, you can always go and select a specific artboard and then do that same process and it will just um do the selected one.

But this is kind of the easiest way if we're just doing a batch all at once. All right. So once that's done, you can see that we have all of our slides here. And you know, we could just drag this entire, you know, collection of slides and pull them straight into ProPresenter.

And just like that, you've got every single slide that you need, uh, you know, ready to go in just a second. It's laid out exactly the way that we planned uh, in Photoshop. And even your lower thirds are showing up, you know, with transparency. Everything's looking just great.

And so just like that, you've got your entire service designed in just a few minutes. Our goal for Service Lides is to save you hours and give you a ton of confidence heading into any service. So I really hope that you enjoyed this quick tutorial and uh let us know if you have any questions.
